What is a cookie, and does it identify you directly?

What personal data do we process with our cookies, and for how long?
The personal data processed by the cookies we use includes:
your IP address and a user ID that we create during your first connection to recognize you for a maximum duration of 13 months if you accept the use of statistical cookies, and your personal data related to your browsing on our platform (e.g., pages visited, browsing duration, etc.) for a maximum duration of 13 months, which is not renewable before any new connection prior to the 14th month. Upon expiration of the retention periods specified below, we do not retain any data concerning you.
